Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) is a Military School for boys only. RIMC is situated in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. RIMC was Established in 1992, it provides all round education and preparing the young boys to be a part of the Indian Naval Academy, National Defence Academy, and the other Armed forces of India. This is the best gateway for the young aspirants who wish to serve the nation. RIMC examination is a national level exam conducted twice a year in the month of June and December.

Applications are invited for the boys only for admission to class in Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

RIMC-2022, Eligibility Criteria

Age: Candidates appearing for the exam should be between 11½ and 13 years i.e., candidate born between 02 July 2010 and 01 January 2012.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed class or appearing in class from a recognised school at the time of admission.

RIMC Admission 2022 Application Form

The prospectus-cum application form and booklet can be obtained from the Rashtirya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, Uttarakhand by following methods.

Online payment: The prospectus-cum-application form can be obtained by making payment of Rs.600/- for General Candidates, Rs. 555/- for ST/SC candidates from RIMC website.

Demand Draft: Candidates can obtain the application form by sending the written request with a Demand Draft of Rs. 600/- for General candidates and Rs. 555/- for ST/SC candidates along with Cast certificate. The Demand Draft id made in the favour of The Commandant RIMC Dehradun, Drawee Branch, State Bank of India, Tel Bhavan, Dehradun (Band Code-01576), Uttarakhand. The Address should be typed or written clearly in the capital letters with the pin code and contact number.

Candidates must have two copies of application form.

Two passport size photographs.

Domicile Certificate of the candidate

Birth certificate

Caste certificate

Attested Certificate with photograph form the Principal of the school stating date of birth and the class of the candidate studying,

RIMC 2022, Selection procedure

Written Examination: written examination consists of three main subjects i.e., English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. Maths and General knowledge papers may be answered either in Hindi or in English. To qualify, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 50 % marks in each subject.

Viva Voice: The oral examination consists of a Viva Voce test of 50 marks, which is designed to assess a candidate's intelligence, personality and confidence. The minimum passing marks will be 50%.

Medical Examination: All the candidates, qualified after interview, will undergo a medical examination at selected Military Hospital and only those candidates found medically fit, will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC. Medical Examination of the candidates forms only a part of the system of selection and does not guarantee the final selection.
