Eligibility criteria
Age: Candidates
applying for Army Technical should be between 17½-23
years

Selection Procedure
Physical Fitness Test
PFT
is considered an important part of the Indian Army because most of the
candidates get eliminated in this round. PFT test carry 100 marks: -
The
Procedure of the physical fitness test is given below: -
Document Verification:
- candidate cannot participate if he
did not have legal documents. So please check all the documents carefully to
pass the physical fitness test (PFT).
Height Measurement: -
Candidate has to fill the accurate
height while filling the application form. if you fill the wrong height then
during measurement you would be rejected for this rally.
Running (1600 meters): -
This is the main event where most
candidates are eliminated from the competition. The race is the most particular
part of the rally.
In
the race, candidates are divided into two groups (Group 1 and Group 2) to run,
there will be no particular pattern to run so try to go for Group 1 and front
row of the group.
Normally
you will need to run 1600 meters 1.6 km in minimum of 6.20 minutes to go in the
next round. Based on your performance, you will place in the group. Race
criteria is as given below: -
If
you complete the race in 5 min 40 sec., you will get 60 marks (Group 1)
If
your completer the race in 5 min 41 sec. to 6 min 20 sec., you will get 48
marks (Group 2)
If
your completer the race in above 6 mins. 20 sec. you will fail.
Pull ups on the Beam: -
After the race, pull up’s round
will begin, this will check the candidate’s energy. This may be quite hard for
the candidate.
Chest Measurement (5 cm increase after expansion): -
In this round, the candidate must
satisfy the given standards and his chest should be increased at least 5cm
after expansion.
Zig- Zag Balancing: -
you will ask to walk or run slowly on zig-zag rope or like stand. You should
pass the round.
Feet Ditch: - In
this round, candidates have to cross 9 feet deep ditch by jumping on it. It
will be the final round of the PFT.

Medical Test
Applicant
must fulfil medical conditions to apply for the post of Army Technical.
Applicants
must have a good physique and good mental health.
The
chest should be well developed with a 05 cm increase after expansion.
The
applicant must score at least 14 dental points in the medical test.
Applicant’s
both ears should clean and well hearing condition.
Applicant’s
binocular vision in each eye should be good and should be able to read 6/6 in a
distant vision chart.
He should be free from varicocele, piles, etc.
Written Exam
In
the written exam, candidates should score maximum marks to get selected.
Candidate must attempt 50 questions of 100 marks. Questions will come from
General Knowledge, Maths, Physics, Chemistry. Each question carries 2 marks and
there is a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer. Exam,
is of 01 hour (60 minutes). Candidate must score minimum of 40 pass marks to
clear the test.
Merit List
The
merit list will be based on the physical test, medical test, and written test.
Training
After
the selection, candidates are called for the 09 months Training session.
Candidates will be able to get a break after 06 months for 30 days and rest 03
months training will continue afterward.

To
clear the army technical written exam, Candidates have to prepare and focus to
