Criteria, Selection Procedure, Exam Pattern and Syllabus
Chandigarh
Police Department invites the application for various Male and Female Constables
(General Duty) and Assistant Sub Inspector posts. All Interested and eligible
candidates can apply as 480 posts that have been announced by the Chandigarh
Police Department. Out of which 450 are for Constables (Male and Female) and 30
posts are for Assistant Sub Inspector. The number of the posts announced can be
decreased or increased as required.

Chandigarh Police Examination 2021- Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit for ASI
Candidates
must be minimum of 18-25 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit for different
categories are as under

Age Limit for Constables
Candidates
must be minimum of 18-25 years. Permissible relaxation in the upper age limit

Education Qualification for ASI
Candidates
must have passed bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university.
Ex-Servicemen candidates should have certificates awarded in the Defence
Services which are recognised as equivalent to graduation for civil employment
as notified by the Government of India from time to time.
Education Qualification for Constables
Candidates
should have passed 12th or equivalent from a recognised board of
school education. Ex-Servicemen candidates should have certificates awarded in
the Defence Services which are recognised as equivalent to higher secondary for
civil employment as notified by the Government of India from time to time.
Other Essential Qualification
Male
candidates must have a valid driving license for LMV (Motorcycle or Car) as of
the date of PE & MT. Lerner’s License is not acceptable. Candidates must
have Driving skills which are now an integral part of the skill set required.
Candidates
should have basic knowledge of computer skills from any recognised institute in
line with GOI/MHA No. 25019/01/2018-PM-II dated 5th November 2018
and Chandigarh Administration Home Department No. 10385- HIII (1) 2018/23703
