Staff
Service Commission Central Police Organization (SSC CPO) examination is a
national level test conducted every year by the Staff Service Commission. This
exam is one of the best gateways to join the various posts under the Central
Police Department. SSC releases the notification for the recruitment of
Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and
Assistant Sub-Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) every year.

SSC CPO Exam, Eligibility
Criteria
Age Limit
Age
of the candidate should be from 20-25 years and borne between 02 January 1996
to 01 January 2001.
Upper
age relaxation of 05 years for ST/SC and 03 years for OBC (non-creamy)
candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.
03
years age relaxation for the Ex-Servicemen after deduction of the military
service rendered from the actual age on the closing date.
Nationality/ Citizenship
Candidates
applying for the SSC CPO exam Must be either
A
citizen of India or
A
subject of Nepal or
A
subject of Bhutan or
The foreign
national subject of Nepal and Bhutan will be required to produce an eligibility
certificate issued by Govt. of India.
Educational Qualification
Candidate
must Passed a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised University.
For
the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police (only), Male candidates must possess
a valid Driving Licence for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date for
Physical Endurance and Standard Test. However, a Driving License is not
mandatory during filling an application form.
Physical Test
Candidates
who passed the Tier-l will be called for physical examination. The Physical
Test has two subdivisions PET and PST

Physical Endurance Test
PET
consists of tasks that are to be completed by the candidates.
The
list of tasks is variable for the male and female candidates.

A Minimum Near Vision: -N6 Better Eye, N9 Worse Eye; Minimum Distant Vision: - 6/6 Better eye, 6/9 worse eye; In case the candidate is right-handed, the right eye is better and vice versa; The standard should be met without any sort of visual corrections. |
Physical and Mental Health |
The aspirant needs to possess knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes; The candidate must be mentally sound and physically fit. Any sort of physical obligation that can be an obstacle in the duty, can be liable to rejection. |

The
exam consists of 04 sections.
There
are a total of 50 questions from every section and each question carries 01
marks. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
